A study on New Age cult; Deception, Lies, N knowing Truth.

Cults differ widely from each other, of course, but they often have several characteristics in common. (Your local Christian bookstore can suggest some books that describe cults in more detail.)

One characteristic is that cults reject the basic beliefs of the Christian faith–beliefs that Christians have held in common for almost 2,000 years. Instead, they say they alone have a full understanding of the truth about God, and the only way to know the truth is to be part of their group. Many cults have their own writings also, which they either substitute for the Bible or add to the Bible.

Cults also often have a strong leader–one who demands total obedience, and actually claims to speak for God. This is very dangerous, of course, because he or she may lead others into disaster. Remember: Only Christ is worthy of our allegiance, for only He is God’s Son. The Bible says, “Through him you believe in God … so your faith and hope are in God” (1 Peter 1:21).

A long story weekly; Stay tune.
Maria Skinner was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico the oldest girl among 10 other siblings. Her family was markedly Christian and at the age of seven, Maria gave her life whole heartedly to Jesus. She was always moved by stories about missionaries and their sacrifices for God to reach the lost and then decided this was the life she wanted. After years in church she was prepared to accompany her older brother to evangelize the migrant labor camps of the Florida’s sugar cane region in the 70’s where she was introduced to the American youth swept up in the “Jesus Movement” of that time. Her first stop was Port au Prince, Haiti and then off to the Dominican Republic where she was her future husband’s translator from English into Spanish. Maria occupied herself with having two children, home schooling them in the field, working side by side with her husband, teaching and ministering in women’s groups and translating for many youth groups in the field. This task was successfully completed while evangelizing in 33 countries even though transient in the mission field. As her children grew up they too entered ministry. Maria is Public Relations liason and Representative of Dignata founded by James and Shannon Doherty which is a follow up ministry for women brought out of human trafficking. Maria is also a spokesperson for the School of Justice and Transformation in Montana where her wealth of experience and biblical knowledge is a treasure chest of wisdom, prudence and practical application Christianity. Her subjects are wide and varied and her influence is uncommon even among many her peers. Maria Skinner is an instructor that you do not want to miss.

Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the wellfavoured harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts.
