BIRTH OF CHRIST: The eternal Son of God personally assumed a complete human nature, without surrendering or altering His deity, so that the one Lord Jesus Christ is fully divine and fully human and is therefore uniquely qualified to reveal God, represent humanity, accomplish redemption, and reign eternally as the divine-human mediator.

DEATH OF CHRIST: The death of Jesus Christ was the voluntary, covenantal, sacrificial, substitutionary, representative, and victorious self-offering of the incarnate Son, through which God judged sin, satisfied divine justice, defeated the powers of evil, reconciled sinners to Himself, established the new covenant, and secured the redemption that is applied through union with the crucified and risen Christ.
